Nursery Time!

Lately I have been doing a lot of paintings for nurseries and kiddo rooms. There must be a lot of babies being born this Spring! It is such an honor to know my art will be part of such a special time for a family. So, I wanted to share one of the inspirations for a recent commission. Gray and citron yellow seem to be quite a trend these days for nurseries, and my client's space is just the same. Here are a few inspirations that led to her final paintings.

The two final paintings. My client wanted the gold to be the 'yellow' in the piece. Once she has framed and hung, we'll get a full view on how the room pulled together.

Designer Feature: Porter Design & Lauren Guarcello

I've had the pleasure of working with Lauren Guarcello, founder of Porter Design Company, for two projects this Spring. More to come on those pieces of art, but I wanted to highlight some of her design prowess and expertly created rooms. Her designs have been featured on HGTV, NBC, Traditional Home, Luxe Magazine, on and on.

First, a few highlights on her guest bedroom suite in the Stately Homes by the Sea 2011 Designer Showhouse. You may not recognize the name, but I swear her bedroom was plastered everywhere. From the ceiling, to the rich chocolate brown walls, to the turquoise and orange, it was called "perfection."

Pop O Color

Temperatures are slowly creeping up, we've got longer days of sunshine, and the azaleas here in Charleston are now giving us that "pop of color" you wait for all year.
