Anyhoo, the point is that ikat has elaborate, multicolored patterns typically. Ikat dyes into the threads before they are woven (tie-dye is after). Ok, enough of today's lesson...let's get to the good stuff.
We all know how I feel about Etsy, especially for pillows and curtains.
These are Uzbek Ikat pillow covers via SilkWay.
Some more ikat pillows. You can find the super chic paintings
in the background at the GildedMint gallery online.
Just one little pillow is all you need to up your style quotient.
Perfect in today's trendy pastels. Via Eco Salon.
And, it's all over fashion too. From shorts, skirts to scarves.
These shorts are via Shopbop.com.
Applied to chair. This weekend I found a good scrap of ikat fabric at one of my favorite
local stores, GDC. It is under consideration to replace the seat fabric on my antique chairs.
The ikat pillow covers is just amazing especially the hand printed cases are wonderful.
